Candle Care Tips

Trim your wick prior to each burn to 1/4th an inch. You can use wick trimmers, fingernail clippers, etc. Light your candle at an angle allowing the flame to coat the entire wooden wick. It may take more than once to light your wick the first time. If this happens, it’s okay to relight right away.

For best burning results, we recommend burning your candle in 2-4 hour increments. This is especially crucial for your first burn. This allows your candle to form a full melt pool, an essential step in preserving the longevity of your candle. Do this by allowing the melted wax to reach the edges of the vessel in order to prevent the candle wax from building up and “tunneling.” Allow candle to cool completely before handling or relighting.

Soy wax has a tendency to leave a rough top after being burnt. This does not mean anything is wrong with your candle and does not affect the quality of the candle.
